I'm so grateful that my friends here in DC don't let themselves get caught up in their amazing careers and unbelievable credentials and instead can allow themselves to be kids every once and a while!
Even so much as to build a truly brilliant FORT!
We have had some absolutely amazing adventures together all around the district, but I would have to say that my favorite has been this one. Oh how ridiculously fun it was to see such intelligent, professional people discuss the fort building plans in absolute seriousness (you wouldn't believe the vocabulary used, the precision of discussion or the time spent in what looked like a philosophical discussion of what a fort truly is and how to embody it's essence with less than satisfactory materials) amidst a mess of pillows and blankets and then to see their giddy, happy faces inside the wonder world they created. Pure bliss!
